Anyway. I'm putting stories on pages and trying to figure out how best to update my website after not doing so for um, almost 3 years and probably 60 stories now. Anyone have any suggestions? (As I keep coding fic....)

I'm finally getting the Line War posted to AO3 (and once I have the coding done for that, HL Fiction gets them too) and I was wondering if people have suggestions for AO3 tags they think apply to the Line War, or specific stories therein?  I've mostly got wordcounts, crossovers when they are, and the occasional 'Women Being Awesome.'  Suggestions, ( Read more... )

23 - When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?

In hopes of not having to shift host servers next month, can anyone advise me on how to lock down directories to prevent hot linking to my graphics?   I love my host server, their techs replies to questions in English, but they seem to have gotten rid of webalyzer.  Since that's how I used to find hotlinking, I have a problem.  And yes, the Eyrie ( Read more... )

Back when I started doing web pages (which was ten years ago? eep!), I ran into a rule of thumb to try to keep webpages at or under 100 Kb. I seem to remember that it was related to WebTV resctriction on large files. Does anyone know if page size is still a problem I should be worried about?
